FILE Electronic Language International Festival
Banco do Brasil Cultural Center, Glass Pavilion, Brasilia
As part of FILE, the Brazilian Electronic Language International Festival, The Physical Mind is presented in Brasilia. My installation fits perfectly with the theme of the festival, as described by the curators: “The Glass Pavilion gives the visitor the chance to immerse themselves in the theme of the Experiential Body, experiencing new sensations and perceptions as they use their own body to interact with the works.”
After Brasilia, the festival tours through Brazil and The Physical Mind will be on show in Belo Horizonte (23 January – 19 March) and Rio de Janeiro (10 April – 4 June).
FILE – Electronic Language International Festival – Electronic Art in the Disruptive Age. Since its first edition in 2000, the Festival has organized collective exhibitions which give the visitor the opportunity to view and experience the full range of electronic art. Since it started in São Paulo, the Festival has shown digital works by artists from 32 countries, reinforcing Brazil’s reputation as an important contributor to international discussions and reflections on electronic and digital art. It presents innovative works which are arranged in four different groups – or aspects – which represent new behaviors in the contemporary world: Experiential Body, Kinetic Body, Virtual Body, and Playful Body.
